About this property

Located close to the famous town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Rectory Cottage is a traditional style barn conversion with beautiful countryside surroundings. Venturing through large wooden gates, enter the property through a colourfully painted side entrance, with a patio area and lockable bike storage just outside. Stepping into the cosy living and dining area, the property is decorated in a traditional manner, with warm, deep tones and oak panelling covering the downstairs area. The woodburning stove is the centre point of the living area, providing a haven after a busy day out exploring the nearby attractions. Following into the lovely bright kitchen, enjoy the quirky feature wallpaper covered in hens and cockerels, along with the useful household appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Travelling back through the living area and up the open tread staircase, you will be greeted by a quaint, little landing area, perfect for curling up with a good book on a cool evening, perfectly complimented by the library style wallpaper. The front bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and beautiful views across the neighbouring fields. Joining up the two bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill bathroom furnished with a delightful bath and shower over. The connecting twin bedroom is beautifully furnished with two 3ft single beds, upholding the cosy feel of the rest of the property. Less than 3 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, make the most of the medieval market town, made famous as the birthplace of the world-renowned writer, William Shakespeare. Visit both his and his wife’s childhood homes, as well as the Church of Holy Trinity, home to Shakespeare’s grave. For something a little different, there is also the Stratford Butterfly Farm, a leafy tropical environment, housing numerous free-flying butterflies and birds. Take a ten minute drive to the village of Mickleton, the gateway to the Cotswolds, or venture a little further to the attractive Cotswold villages of Broadway and Chipping Campden, which are just a 20 minute drive from Rectory Cottage. Rectory Cottage is the perfect choice for those looking to experience Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds in a cosy, traditional cottage.
