We were the second guests into to lodge this season. Sadly the lodge needed a deep clean. Although the owner and her son attended the following day and apologised we left them to get on to clean. Sadly it was more a quick wipe over and that was it. Oven was very dirty as was the trays inside. We had to borrow some foil to cover the trays to use them. The bathroom with the bath in it had long black hairs in it. The en-suite shower head needs attention, dust on the floor in the bedroom. Bed was very comfortable.Windows in the living area had marks on where a dog had pressed its nose.No welcome information, nor a guest comment book. 3 dishwasher tablets for a 4 night stay along with an empty washing up liquid bottle.Welcome pack consisted of a packet of biscuits and some milk.In my past life I was Chair and inspector for the Gatwick Guest House Association I just felt for the money that we paid the accommodation was below standard due to the cleaning. The owners had time during the close down of the site to have made the place spotless so we were really disappointed with our stay.

We have just returned from our stay at Willowbank Lodge and have to say it was absolutely amazing. The views from the lounge are beautiful of the river and all the wildlife. We had frosty mornings and the whole area looked so magical. The hosts were spot on with their communication and the added touches of Christmas lights made the lodge so welcoming. Beautiful lodge, comfortable beds and the kitchen was very well equipped. The American Fridge was an absolute bonus and the the storage space was fantastic. TV.s in both bedrooms and perfect reception with fast WI-FI.. Would definitely recommend Willowbank Lodge and would love to return.

We've just returned from a week's stay at Willowbank and it was amazing. The lodge consists of a spacious, bright (includes 2 sets of french doors plus windows all round) open plan dining room/TV sitting area and kitchen. Two large bedrooms - the main one includes a large walk-in wardrobe as well as a spacious ensuite. The second bedroom is a large double and includes ample storage space. There is a good sized family bathroom with a bathtub/shower. The lodge is very clean, modern but at the same time homely. The wow factor is very much the lounge area which has views across the river. The kitchen is well appointed and includes everything you would need - including a large American style fridge/freezer. Finally, there is a utility room that includes a second sink and a separate washing machine and dryer. Willowbank is significantly larger than the other lodges in the park - we've stayed at three other smaller lodges in the same park. Outside there is a large decking area with outdoor sofas, a table and chairs. In terms of location, Willowbank is located about a mile from Stratford upon Avon and so it's a comfortable walk to the town centre. Tiddington village is only a 10 minute walk away. Overall, I would definitely recommend Willowbank. The owners have put a lot of effort to create a high quality lodge. Finally, Willowbank is very dog friendly.
