Guests say

Castle View is a well-regarded cottage in Warwick, praised for its prime location opposite Warwick Castle and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the property's unique design, ample space, and comfortable furnishings. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of air conditioning during heatwaves were noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is consistently described as clean and well cared for, with several reviews highlighting its immaculate condition. However, a few guests mentioned specific issues such as a stained footstool and rusty radiator, slightly affecting the score.

The location receives high praise for being centrally situated next to Warwick Castle and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Its convenience for exploring Warwick and nearby attractions is frequently commended.

Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the property spacious. Some concerns were raised about heat management during warmer weather and the quality of living area furniture, which impacts the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, with a secure electronic lock and ample cooking equipment. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as leaky conservatories and problematic showers, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests mention a welcome pack and pre-arrival information, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are a delightful addition but not guaranteed.

We are from Warwick so we know the area etc and continued with work and school life. Castle View provided us with a home from home environment and was perfect for what we needed. Peter (owner) was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Fantastic location next to the Castle and short walking distance to local amenities, restaurants and pubs. Great property

Sadly the weather was too cold to use the balconies and the courtyard garden, however, the house was toasty warm inside. Peter, the owner was super helpful, arranging parking permits and providing us with restaurant recommendations. My only minor gripe about the property was the fact that there were no basic supplies like teabags or coffee, we hadn’t brought any with us so ended up using Deliveroo!

Good instructions from owner on parking and access which were appreciated. There were a few things that let down the stay. The house bathroom is well beyond its time and needs replacing with black mould around the bath and brown edges to the shower curtain. The kitchen was well equipped but crockery and glasses were dirty and needed re washing before use. The dishwasher didn’t wash things properly and needs fixing/ replacing. I would have expected sofas bedding etc to be of higher quality given the price. Towels were very hard and scratchy. All in all needs a bit of money and tlc spending on it but the location was fabulous.
