Hanley Castle 1.5 miles. A charming cottage set in the 6 acre grounds of the owner's home amongst beautiful countryside with walled gardens and magnificent views of the Malvern Hills, on the borders of the three counties of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. All ground floor, this wonderful cottage provides an excellent base for a relaxing holiday. An entrance porch/boot room to the front of the cottage is ideal for storing walking gear and wellies. To one end of the cottage is a lovely, bright and cheery bedroom, and the cottage also has a large comfortable sitting room with a dining area and a feature stove, perfect for enjoying a romantic dinner or relaxing over a morning coffee.
A galley kitchen has been very well equipped. Outside guests can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area in their private garden area complete with garden furniture and BBQ. Close by is the pretty riverside town of Upton-upton-Severn, plus Malvern and the dramatic Malvern Hills, as well as Worcester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Vale of Evesham. The busy Three Counties Showground is three miles away and is easily accessible by car or bicycle. A wonderful base for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
This ancient village lies in the countryside between Upton-upon-Severn, Malvern and the Malvern Hills. The village has a pub. Upton-upon-Severn lies on the banks of the River Severn and boasts delightful 17th century building, shops, inns and cafés and a museum. It also plays host to festivals, including Jazz, Folk and Blues Festivals, as well as the Sunshine Music Festival.
