Smelt of dog I understand it's dog friendly but I don't want to be smelling it in living/ kitchen area when I don't have my dog with me food under table needs a deep clean throughout the heating is controlled by owner & it was cold the two nights we were there & it didn't come on at all

Very friendly hosts, Smithy clean, tidy and well equipped, shower and hot-tub brilliant, no problem with parking. The only negatives we found were: The corner sofa is very low with little in the way of support / comfort especially if you have hip/knee/back issues. Decking/seating area around hot tub could perhaps be refreshed and made more inviting.

We had a lovely break at the Smithy. Jayne was a very knowledgeable friendly host , welcome pack was lovely. Hot tub fantastic. Bed was so comfortable , slept all night. Didn’t hear anything from the road or the animals. Will definitely return
