We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Hermit Inn Hideout. The apartment was stylish, homely, well equipped and spotless. Our teenagers loved the double bed each and the superking was luxurious. There was some noise from the pub below but we knew to expect that when we booked and the staff were really friendly. Enjoyed a Sunday roast and a few drinks downstairs. A great accommodation find for visiting Yorkshire.

The accommodation is so lovely with amazing views. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is decorated to a high standard. The staff were lovely and we had a delicious meal in the pub.There was only one downside that we feel needs mentioning. We knew it would be noisy as it’s over a pub so had no problem with that. The problem was that there is a staff room directly opposite the accommodation and the kitchen was at the bottom of the stairs. There was a lot of traffic and a loud door that slammed regularly. This isn’t a criticism of the staff as they were just getting ready for their shift. Maybe a soft close fitting on the door would help.We really did have a lovely stay, but, for those who are wanting a peaceful getaway, we felt our review needed to honestly reflect the noise level (not from the pub but from the stairs outside the accommodation).
