The Old Forge is a well-regarded cottage in Keighley, praised for its comfort, tasteful decoration, and prime location. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, spaciousness, and the thoughtful touches provided. While parking is noted as challenging for larger vehicles, the proximity to local amenities and the charm of the cottage contribute to a pleasant stay.
Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotlessly clean, with only a few minor comments about cobwebs. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to guests' experiences.
The location is highly praised for being central and ideal for exploring Haworth and the surrounding areas. Its proximity to pubs, restaurants, and historic sites is a significant plus for guests.
Guests find the cottage extremely comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and cosy log burner. However, some mention that the sofa bed could be improved and that the kitchen can be cold.
The cottage is well-equipped with necessary amenities, and guests are generally satisfied with the facilities. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as central heating problems, draughty windows, and the need for better lighting in the kitchen.

A first-class, stone-built traditional terraced cottage set over three floors, in a courtyard of private properties in the very heart of Haworth. From the central location and the beautiful conversion of this traditional old cottage to the lovely furnishings and individual styling, this Haworth cottage is perfect for couples to get away from it all. This is a fine Haworth cottage, with character and charm throughout, featuring a spacious ground floor kitchen/diner with original beams and exposed stonework, and a warm and cosy first floor sitting room with woodburning stove. A beautiful modern bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower and an adjoining master bedroom with feature fireplace all combine to make this a Haworth cottage of real distinction. This delightful Haworth cottage subtly combines a contemporary feel with original features to create a charming romantic retreat, a few yards from the historic high street. Steeped in literary history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters, Haworth has much to offer including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, and a variety of walks allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic rugged moorland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and delightful castle while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. A wonderful Haworth holiday cottage, perfect for exploring all this lovely area has to offer.
Haworth is a small village located in the area of the Yorkshire Dales known as Bronte Country and was the home of the Bronte sisters.
