About this property

Haworth Brontë Barn was previously a Yorkshire Threshing Barn with the original large, bright barn window containing the original date stone of 1831. It nestles amidst the moorland that inspired the novels of the famous Brontë Sisters, close to the lovely and popular village of Haworth. Built at a time when the Brontë family were busy in Haworth and their father, the Reverend Patrick Brontë was incumbent at the famous Brontë Church opposite (you are close enough to see the time on the church clock) this light, bright and airy cottage is one of a few original farm buildings converted into delightful holiday accommodation. It has the appeal of a quiet location surrounded by grazed fields with footpaths for our guests up to the famous village, with many pubs and attractions, just half a mile away. This cosy, terraced cottage has been designed for four guests seeking to follow in the footsteps of the sisters by exploring the area's historical landmarks and the majestic Yorkshire Dales National Park. Soak up the picturesque scenery before entering into the heart of the home, the spacious open-plan living room, boasting everything you could possibly need during a self-catering getaway. Rustle up a tasty treat within the kitchen before settling down for dinner at the dining space, a perfect spot for planning the next day’s adventure. Afterwards, delight in retreating to the sitting area and flicking on the TV as you curl up on the plush sofas. Alternatively, head out to the front patio area during a balmy evening and catch the sun setting across the countryside with a well-deserved glass of wine in hand. Take the staircase up to the first floor once the evening has drawn to a close, where you will find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both enjoying picturesque views to wake up to each morning. If you can tear yourself away from this base, head into the nearby village of Haworth where the endearing high street and alleyways play host to a number of quaint cafés, delicious eateries and traditional pubs, catering to all needs, in addition to shops for picking up a fresh loaf of bread to enjoy at breakfast. Brush up on the village history by paying a visit to the Brontë Parsonage Museum which was the home of the sisters from 1820 to 1861 or take a stroll to Top Withens which is said to be the inspiration for Wuthering Heights. To enjoy the scenery further, take the Brontë Way, a way marked trail which will allow you to discover the spots which inspired the world-famous stories. Venture slightly further afield to Keighley and visit the Worth Valley Railway which was made famous by the film The Railway Children or find superb amenities in the nearby city of Leeds. Haworth Brontë Barn promises a tranquil escape.

Haworth is a small village resting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just 13 miles away from Skipton. This village was made famous by the Bronte sisters who's novels were inspired by the surrounding moorland. Within the village you will find a selection of amenities including cafe, restaurants, antique shops and sweet shops. Nearby is Keighley and Worth Valley Railway which was made famous by the film The Railway Children.
