The ancient village of Cowling sits across a hillside in the Pennine Hills, just seven miles from the market town of Skipton. A thriving village, built along a main high street with stone-built, terraced houses set alongside the mills of a bygone age. The village was once sparsely populated, the bulk of the population living in Ickornshaw and Middleton, and before that on Cowling Hill, close to water sources they depended on, and the main roads of the day - now used as back roads by locals to avoid the modern day traffic.

The back gate was damaged but Ellen and Neil came straight round and fixed the problem lovely friendly owners. The only downside was the main road which was really busy but you get used to it. Parking space a bit tight but everywhere is these day. Very clean and well equipped will be back
Joanne
Excellent communication from the owner, who responded and resolved a house maintenance issue within hours.

Parking is very tight not much room and there is a very busy road at front of property which we weren't aware of and my husband has mobility issues and crossing the road was a nightmare I wouldn't have booked if I had known about the road it should be in the details or spoilt the holiday also we couldn't sleep it was busy all night
