This detached barn conversion is set in a rural location, carefully co-ordinated and furnished it makes a lovely holiday home to relax in and as such enjoys a quiet location opposite the owner’s home. There are some lovely walks direct from the door with a dedicated footpath running behind the property down into the village of Lothersdale and beyond. Alternatively, the whole of the Yorkshire Dales and Brontë Country can be easily accessed by car, as can the historic city of York. The bustling market town of Skipton is 6 miles, which features a well preserved castle and boat trips along the canal. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Lovely peaceful setting , if you like walking it's perfect. The Dog & Gun is a must for excellent food The cottage itself was lovely The only thing missing was more windows to take in more of the view

Owls Cote cottage is a beautifully converted barn; spacious and tastefully furnished with everything you might need for a self catering break. The accommodation is largely on the first floor (downstairs second toilet) with a comfortable lounge/dining kitchen for two & well equipped kitchen. The small freezer was really useful!Outside there are views over the spectacular Yorkshire Dales and plenty of parking. There are walks from the cottage (Pennine Way passes through 5 mins away!)The host lives adjacent and is responsive and friendly.Crosshills village is 10 mins drive with a Co Op store, independent shops and restaurants
