About this property

At Cherry Tree Cottages, we have two warm traditional stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the South Pennine countryside. Both our cottages are pet friendly. Dogs are welcome, and there are good footpath and bridleway walks right from the garden ----  We welcome longer stays and would like to help you when  between houses or during house renovations. At Cherry Tree Cottages, we have two warm traditional stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the South Pennine countryside. We are in a beautiful country location, just 15 minutes from both Halifax and Huddersfield, with easy access to all West Yorkshire towns and attractions.

Both our cottages are pet friendly. Dogs (2+ ) are welcome, and there are good footpath and bridleway walks right from the doorstep.

Our minimum stay is 5 nights. We now allow an extra day between lets for enhanced cleaning.

Our two cottages, Cherry Tree Cottage and Heather Bank Cottage are awarded Four Stars by VisitBritain. We live adjacent to the cottages in the main house, Cherry Tree House, and are usually at home to welcome you and help with any queries.

Cherry Tree Cottage:

This two-bedroomed 19th century stone cottage has been recently refurbished

and redecorated throughout . All rooms are South facing.

The main bedroom is light and airy, with extensive views over the Black Brook valley.

In the second bedroom, there are full sized adult single beds, which have been built

into the room in a partially overlapping tiered arrangement.

Ground Floor

The front door opens directly into the entrance kitchen area, and gives access to

the staircase and lounge/dining room. The kitchen is split level, with freezer, washer

and drier, downstairs in the vaulted basement. The kitchen is fully equipped with an

electric cooker with halogen hob, worktop microwave, and under-counter fridge.

The lounge/ dining room retains the old stone fireplace and exposed beams.

First Floor

The first floor comprises a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with built-in full size

single beds, and an attractive bathroom, all opening off a top landing area

Gardens

We have two acres of woodland-heather wildlife garden, together with an

established native woodland. There is a picnic area with outstanding views of the

South Pennine West Yorkshire landscape.

There is direct access from the field area to bridleways and open countryside.
