A superb 16th century detached stone-built barn farmhouse, set on the owner's farm and equestrian centre, three miles from Hebden Bridge. Lovingly restored, this cottage is full of character, and seamlessly combines many original features such as exposed stonework with modern, contemporary design and furnishings. The cottage has a delightful sitting room with a warm and cosy woodburning stove, a first-class shaker-style kitchen, and three lovely bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and one is on the ground floor. Set on a high hillside with wonderful views a short walk away from the property, and excellent walks in every direction, this is a wonderful cottage.
Lively Hebden Bridge is just down the road, with its interesting nightlife, curiosity shops and the 'old cinema' where they serve tea and scones at the interval. Enjoy walks from the doorstep across the Brontes' beloved moors, visit the village of Heptonstall with its two historic pubs, or explore the home of the Bronte sisters in nearby Haworth. With the bustling town of Skipton also within an easy drive, this is a superb cottage at any time of the year.
Hebden Bridge is a small town in the Pennines, in the Calderdale area. The Rochdale canal runs through the town, which is a great base for enjoying the excellent walking on offer on the nearby Pennine Way, NT Hardcastle Crags and over the moors to Haworth, famed for its associations with the literary Bronte sisters. Visit Skipton town, the Gateway to the Dales, or the Eureka Museum in Halifax, or simply settle in to watch the steam trains on the Worth Valley Railway. A terrific base for this varied part of Yorkshire.

We stayed during a cold spell and were a bit concerned that it might be a bit chilly inside, but found it warm and cosy. It was nice to have the option of lighting the fire, and plenty of wood was provided, but we didn't have to rely on it. We found the cottage clean, well-furnished and very comfortable. It was one of the best equipped kitchens we have used and we cooked most nights, though there is a good pub within easy walking distance. We found the owner very friendly and helpful. The cottage is located in easy walking distance of Todmorden but still felt very rural and peaceful. The surrounding countryside was great for walking, with good views a short stroll from the cottage and the Pennine Way passing close by. It is also within easy driving distance of Hebden Bridge, Haworth and Hollingworth Lake. We don't often return to places but would be happy to stay here again. There lots to see and do in the surrounding area and a week wasn't enough time.

Well proportioned and spacious. Having on-suite facilities for every bed room was a real bonus.

All rooms en suite including one downstairs room which we needed due to disability. Very nice welcome pack and fruit. Owner very welcoming and is on site so responded quickly when we had a small issue. In the grounds of an equestrian centre so we enjoyed looking at the horses in the fields including four fabulous foals which we often saw playing together. Great location between Todmorden and Hebden Bridge so easy to pick up shopping and plenty to do and see in the vicinity. Highly recommend Hebden Bridge Picture House which we visited three times. All in all a fantastic week.
