Bridlington is a very traditional seaside resort with a wonderful large sandy beach, very popular with families. The promenade has won several awards and is home to Bridlington Spa where there’s fantastic international acts all year round. The resort has lots of bars, restaurants and a fantastic leisure centre with climbing walls, splash pool and gymnasium. Follow the Old Town Trail around the historic old town area which incorporates Priory Church, Bayle Museum, galleries, shops and pubs.

Just north of Bridlington is Sewerby Head. For those who enjoy a good walk, the Cleveland Way and the Wolds Way are just along the coast at Filey. Also along the coast you have Flamborough Head and the famous rspb Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve, where you can observe gannets and puffins in their natural habitat. Scarborough is only a short drive, where you will find the largest open air theatre in Europe as well as the castle and lots of other places of interest. For a day out, the medieval city of York is also only an hour’s drive away and there are various golf courses nearby, with the closest just ½ mile away. Beach ¾ mile. Shops and restaurants 1½ miles, pub serving food 100 yards.
