Furnished and decorated to a good standard, this Atwick cottage has a light and airy living space, with a spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Patio doors open onto a sheltered rear garden, providing a relaxing spot in which to sit and unwind with a glass of wine! A short stroll from this Atwick cottage brings you to the local inn and the village green, whilst two miles down the road is the traditional coastal town of Hornsea with its sandy beaches, ornamental gardens and promenade. Nearby lies Hornsea Mere, the largest glacial lake in Yorkshire, where guests can partake in watersports, fishing and boating. The rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are a short drive away, as are the popular resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough, all well worth visiting. With the stately homes of Sledmere House, Burton Constable Hall and Burton Agnes Hall nearby, guests are well catered for in this Atwick cottage.
Composed primarily of stone and brick built cottages, Atwick is a small, pretty village clustered around a central village green. The local pub which also serves meals - lies in the centre of the settlement, whilst the coast and numerous sandy beaches is only a 15 minute walk away. Two miles away is the attractive town of Hornsea boasting golden sands, a leisure complex, Hornsea Folk Museum and a Bird of Prey Display. A further 10 miles away is the bustling town of Bridlington offering traditional seaside attractions for all the family. For those interested in history, the cathedral city of York is also within easy reach and offers numerous shops, restaurants and museums, including the National Railway Museum.
