Built in 1818, this detached holiday cottage, a former chapel school room, stands adjacent to the owners’ working arable and livestock farm and provides a cosy rural retreat with scenic walks from the doorstep. Bird lovers can enjoy the close proximity to Tophill Low Nature Reserve and other reserves situated in the Yorkshire Nature Triangle including rspb Bempton, Spurn Point and North Cave Wetlands. There are water sports activity centres at Billabong and Fosse Hill, golf at Hainsworth Park and fishing available locally. Visit the stately homes at Burton Agnes, Burton Constable and Sewerby Hall and enjoy the Yorkshire Wolds scenery which inspired the famous Hockney paintings. Lovely little cottage for two people. Everything you need and a welcome pack to start you off. Friendly, helpful owners. Comfortable bed. Large garden for dogs and conservatory to sit in to watch the birds on the feeders. Quite remote amongst farmland, so you need to drive to buy supplies.

Had a lovely stay celebrated our 15 wedding anniversary in a cosy environment . Owner very polite and helpful. Need to prepared with shopping as not a lot locally . Lovely watching the birds from the conservatory with a brief visit from a woodpecker
