We have recently returned from a two-night stay over the bank holiday at “Treetops Bungalow” in Beeford. We live near Lincoln and we wanted somewhere for a couple of nights away that was not too far.Having scoured various self catering accommodation websites we settled on “Treetops”.There were no reviews for the property, but we thought it looked very clean and well maintained in a village with the amenities we required, a shop and a pub and close to the coast so we took a chance and we were so glad we did!The reason for no reviews we found out from Susan and Simon was that we were the first people to stay at “Treetops”.The property is immaculate with a comfortable lounge area and large smart TV. The kitchen area has all a couple needs for an enjoyable stay and there was a nice welcome pack of goodies. The bedroom was nicely decorated and there were lovely little decorative touches. The bed was very comfortable, and I had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower which was very welcome in the heat. All the bedding and bathroom supplies were of a very high standard. The rear of the property is amazing. The access to the bungalow is through the rear. There is a raised patio with a comfortable bench for two and a small table and two chairs as well as a new BBQ. The patio looks out across a huge enclosed and well-maintained lawn, owned by Susan and Simon, towards a small pond and woods with a weeping willow. We normally do a bit of local sightseeing even on short breaks, but the cottage was so inviting after a quick trip into Hornsea we headed back to “Treetops” and spent hours relaxing on the patio, reading, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and listening to birdsong. Apparently, there is an owl although we didn’t hear him on our stay. The village has a Londis store about half a mile, a 10-minute walk, up the main road through Beeford and opposite is “The Tiger Inn”. After checking in on Saturday afternoon we walked up to the shop for supplies, grabbed a quick drink in the pub and decided we would eat there the first night. The food was very good, and we ended up booking for Sunday lunch as well! All the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. Beeford is also such a friendly village. Everyone we walked past going to and from the shop and the pub said hello which is unusual these days.“Treetops” is the perfect location for a relaxing romantic break for two. Susan and Simon are a delightful friendly couple who couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay memorable, and we will be returning to “Treetops”.
