If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures at Hornsea Beach, a great location to bask in the sun's rays during warmer months, paddle the shores or try your hand at a range of watersports on offer; refuel with traditional fish and chips or head to Swiss Cottage Restaurant and Lounge Bar for some hearty fuel and cold beverages. History buffs will appreciate a visit to Hornsea Museum whereas animal lovers may wish to spend the day getting up close and personal with a variety of species at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo. Well-located to also visit Hull which offers Ferens Art Gallery and the Streetlife Museum, in addition to an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants, Sea Spell Loft is a fabulous base for a getaway in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

On the East Coast, 15 miles south of Bridlington, is the charming coastal village of Hornsea. This historic Victorian resort is perfect for families since it boasts long, wide, safe sandy beaches as well as a lovely promenade with well-kept plants. The thriving town centre is filled with a nice selection of local shops, bars, and cafes, while Hornsea Mere, the largest natural lake in Yorkshire, is close by and provides boat rides, sailing, and fishing. While Bempton Cliffs rspb reserve, home to one of Britain's greatest mainland puffin populations, can be reached in just over half an hour's drive, Hornsea Freeport is well known for its shopping. Wassand Hall and walled gardens are nearby, and Hornsea makes a wonderful home base for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors, and East Riding coastal destinations. Within a short distance are the historic city of York, Beverley with its renowned gothic cathedral, and The Deep in Hull.

With great views out to sea. Glorious sun rises if you like that sort of thing. Spotlessly clean and catering for all needs. We loved our stay there. My only comment which is not a complaint, i personally think the internet would work a lot better if you moved the router out of the cupboard. Thanks for a wonderful week’s holiday.

Great views ( pity that the window can't be lowered :) ) . Parking easy and safe . Very good communication with owners , gave us good local recommendations of where to eat ,drink and visit. Had lovely walks , around The Mere and along the beach. Would definitely recommend a visit to this top notch accommodation. Ps..Chocolate cake was delicious and we looked forward to a slice, with a cup of tea, after each walk:)
