The wooden floorboards throughout the property help give it a country-cottage feel, as do the French style rustic units in the delightful, fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also occupies a wonderful double bedroom with an ornate bed frame and a table to enjoy a peaceful, morning coffee looking out onto the Mediterranean style private tiled patio area. A set of quirky wooden stairs bring you to the first floor with two bedrooms; a king-size and a twin which are enhanced by stunning ceiling beams. The interior is topped off with a classy family bathroom, graced with an elegant corner bath. The rear garden is very private and secluded and has all day sunshine with a tree to shelter under when it gets too hot. The side garden is designed for family summer evenings as it catches the last of the evening sun. Clayton west is a charming traditional village on the border of Huddersfield Barnsley and Wakefield and 5 mins drive to M1 making it central for many places within 45 mins drive. These include Peak District,Yorkshire dales, vale of York. The village has hairdressers, beauticians, village store and fish and chip shop. Within 15 mins walk there are 4 pubs, a swimming baths ,2 cafes , an Italian restaurant , and the Kirklees light railway with its own cafe and does special events like Thomas the tank train journeys, spooky Halloween and Easter egg hunts and children’s play area. Clayton west is on the Kirklees Way offering many walks in the area with destinations such as the Yorkshire sculpture park, Cawthorne village, Cannon Hall Farm and shop and restaurant, Denby Dale Pie Village, Emley moor mast and village and farm shop and many more points of interest within daily walking distance. Within easy drive are the towns of Sheffield with the Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Leeds with The Armouries and lively night life, Wakefield with the Hepworth Gallery, Huddersfield with the Mining museum and the village of Holmfirth famous for “Last of the Summer Wine”. The Peak District National Park has scenery, walks and cycle trails and towns and villages waiting to be discovered.
