The Stables is a semi-detached barn conversion on the owner's smallholding in West Yorkshire. Set just outside the village of Honley, this charm-filled retreat offers couples a luxury break in the heart of the countryside. Upstairs, under the open eaves, is the spacious bedroom enhanced by an exposed stone wall and Velux windows flooding the interior with natural light. Honley with it's old centre of cobbled streets, is set on the banks of the River Holme. The village has a wide selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The Grade II listed church has the remains of a set of stocks in its grounds. Just three miles away is the town of Holmfirth, famed as being the setting for comedy series Last of the Summer Wine. It has a good public swimming pool and fitness centre, parks, shops and restaurants. Huddersfield, and the cities of Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester, as well as the delights of the Peak District National Park are within reach.

Everything we needed was provided as well as treats which are very much appreciated. The owners live on site, we didn't have any issues when we were there but if we had I feel confident they would have sorted them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most likely return
