Beautifully appointed throughout, boasting an open-plan living layout and a quaint enclosed garden, with stunning views across the valley, whilst within close proximity to local amenities, and popular regions including the Peak District National Park and Holmfirth, the cottage is the perfect spot for couples, friends, and small families.
Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can settle down on the sofa after a long day of exploration, enjoy an evening meal around the dining table, toasting to a wonderful holiday, or perhaps prepare a picnic in the well-equipped kitchen, which you can enjoy outdoors in the surrounding countryside.
There are two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, with wardrobes and draws.
The modern bathroom has a bath and a walk-in shower.
Before exploring Netherton, enjoy your multi-level garden, where you can savour your morning coffee with countryside vistas, or perhaps make yourself a reading nook in the summerhouse.
Within the village you’ll find a convenience store, a post office, a pub, a café, takeaways and a popular sandwich shop, along with some charming buildings, walking trails and the cycling route of Le Tour de France.
For further amenities, visit the quaint village of Holmfirth, dotted with eateries, winding lanes and shops, before venturing further into York, home to the National Railway Museum York, Yorkshire Museum and York Racecourse.
You’ll also be a car journey away from Leeds, a thriving city, where you can tour Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills, before taking advantage of an abundance of restaurants and shops throughout the high street.
Only a twenty minute drive away is the world-famous, Yorkshire Sculpture Park at Bretton.
For nature-filled adventures, make your way towards the Peak District National Park, or if you’d prefer to stay closer to home, embark on a journey through Holme Valley woodlands.
Netherton, a charming little village with a tavern, a few local stores, and some magnificent buildings, is surrounded by the breath-taking scenery that Yorkshire is famous for. You can really get to know this beautiful area from Netherton on the excellent footpaths that are accessible, or why not jump on your bike and try riding the Le Tour de France's cycle routes? Spend your days taking leisurely strolls around the breath-taking countryside that surrounds Netherton or in adjacent Holmfirth, which is best known as the residence of Compo, Cleggy, and Nora Batty from the enduring comedy series "Last of the Summer Wine." While the fictional "Skelthwaite" from the popular TV series "Where the Heart is" is in the gorgeous Colne Valley, Holmfirth is an intriguing small community full of winding roads and home to a superb assortment of stores and cafés.
