The location and photographs are realistic- the view is really that wonderful.I have stayed in a shepherd's hut before, this one is bigger, maybe a couple of feet wider and five feet or so longer, which really helps. It has everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom spaces. The bed is comfy. There is a discrete TV that swings out from the wall, but does not impose on the space.The decking makes Martha's Place special. Every evening I sat out looking over the rolling fields to distant towns and hills and more fields.There are public footpaths in all directions and the whole area is fantastic for walking - I took an OS map and it helped.I will definitely be returning.

Amazing location, friendly people, nearby horses and cows, lovely walks and nice pubs in the area. The place was tidy and clean. The hosts answered the phone very quickly when we had a small question, which was much appreciated. The gas heater came in handy as the nights were cold, even in May. We would have felt more comfortable with the gas heater if there was a carbon monoxide alarm - something to consider for the future perhaps. The place also would have benefitted from coffee/tea/sugar, and oil and salt - all very minor things of course, and we appreciate that the listing says it does not come with esentials, however this would have really made it. Overall a really nice stay!
