It was a great marriage of a rustic-for-the-area-exterior and a cozy, comfortable, stylish interior with all the modern conveniences and thoughtful preparedness you could desire. So, an easily removal night light/torch was available to negotiate the village paths at night which were unlit and even a slow cooker to work hard whilst those staying were out enjoying themselves. A very comfortable bed and an effective shower we're also on the hand. There were plenty of walks on the doorstep (and loads of uptodate info, leaflets about them etc) and the village itself, including its church, was very quaint. The village shop was much more extensively stocked than I expected and the Game Cock pub less than five minutes away was a delightful place to eat as was the Traddock Hotel literally across the road. Parking on the property was an additional treat and Alec and Pip were as organised, friendly and hospitable hosts as I've ever experienced with Sykes. One to return too.

We were so comfortable that we didn't want to leave. Fabulous meals & warm welcome at The Game Cock in the village and fairly priced food. It's a beautiful little property in a quaint village within easy reach of Settle, Skipton, Ingleton, Kirbky Lonsdale, Malham & Ribblehead. Stunning scenery and amazing walks. It was made extra special by the hosts, Pip & Alex who were wonderful & couldn't do enough with help & advice. Fabulous stay, can't wait to go back.
