Guests have consistently praised the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location, ideal for exploring the countryside. The well-equipped property offers a cosy atmosphere with friendly neighbours and is particularly noted for its suitability for dogs. Some minor issues were mentioned but were quickly resolved, and the thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, and biscuits were appreciated.
Reviewers frequently mentioned the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as very clean, with high-quality furnishings and bedding. This indicates a high standard of cleanliness maintained at the property.
The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to the Yorkshire Dales, local attractions, and walking opportunities. Some guests noted the distance to the village and the view of a courtyard of cars, but the overall sentiment about the location is positive.
The cottage is repeatedly described as comfortable, cosy, and warm, with comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. The only drawback mentioned is the tricky navigation at the top of the stairs, but this did not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally praised, with the property being well-equipped and having everything needed. There are mentions of minor issues and the need for some TLC, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
While guests appreciated the provision of tea, coffee, and biscuits, there are not enough references to specific thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities, while enjoyed, are not guaranteed.

Overall very good. This is a lovely little cottage. Clean and comfortable, very quiet which is what we love. No traffic noise and trains no problem. A bit tight upstairs but beds comfortable with lovely linen. Nice lawned garden with amazing views. Good fast Internet. A few minor issues that were soon sorted. Good location for the dales, Lancashire and Cumbria. Lovely village shop and Sawmill cafe a nice half an hour walk away. Larger towns and easy drive. Delightful neighbours, proper Northern folk. Very helpful and great to chat to. Overall a lovely cottage in a beautiful area.
