The open-plan kitchen and living/dining area is the heart of the home - a beautifully designed space that is practical and comfortable, perfect for a cosy night in after a day out exploring or catching up with friends you haven’t seen for a while. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing a gourmet evening meal or making a picnic-to-go ready for an exciting day out. The snug living room exudes warmth and charm and features a delightful woodburning stove for those cosy nights in. So whether you’re watching a movie on Netflix or curling up with your book and glass of wine, you’ll feel right at home here. The outdoor space at The Granary is there to be enjoyed; From the gorgeous scenery surrounding the property, the beautiful greenery at the front of the property and the enclosed patio at the rear, you will find the space to be tranquil and relaxing and perfect for outdoor relaxation or entertainment. The secluded and relaxing outdoor seating area at the rear of the property, complete with barbecue, offers an enjoyable space for al fresco dining. You will find a pub over the road, and a shop a short drive away for any essentials. A 1.5 hour hike or bike through the Parlington Estate and Garforth golf course will bring you to The Springs where you could take morning breakfast at Pret or visit the cinema and have an evening meal at one of the various well known eateries. While exploring the area, don't miss Lotherton Park for peaceful walks, take the kids to Stockeld Park for a fun-filled day, or visit Tropical World to see some rare species. The City of Leeds is not far away, offering even more activities. Explore the Royal Armouries Museum for fascinating exhibits, admire the scenic views at Roundhay Park, or discover the beautiful Georgian estate of Harewood House. Barwick is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing a network of rural footpaths. The nearby bustling town of Yeovil offers visitors an interesting array of shops and leisure facilities, whilst within easy reach can be found several National Trust properties including Montecute House, Barrington Court and Stourhead. Alternatively visit ancient Bath or historic Sherborne with its abbey, castle, pretty antique shops and good restaurants, both of which are easily accessible. The Jurassic coast footpath and beaches are only a 30 minute drive away through beautiful countryside and fishing can be enjoyed on the River Stour at Sturminster Newton. An ideal base for exploring this lovely area.
