Tour the eerie 14th century ruins of Mount Grace Priory, another fantastic National Trust owned property as well as the Abbeys of Riveaulx and Byland as well as Fountains Abbey which is a little further away. Visit the neighbouring town of Stokesley, home to the birthplace of Mrs S Henty and the picturesque Packhorse Bridge, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the River Leven before grabbing a bite to eat in one of the many local cafés. A pleasant drive away lies the popular Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, an excellent day out for the whole family to enjoy! Great places to visit include Whitby, Runswick Bay or Robin Hoods Bay, all within an hour from the property.
