Situated in a peaceful spot on the moor above the village of Cowling and boasting glorious, panoramic views over the Aire Valley and beyond. Craiglands Cottage is a semi-detached, traditional stone cottage, forming part of Craiglands Farm, ideal for walkers, cyclists and those who enjoy the rural life.

This special property first started out as four stone workers' cottages before becoming the main farmhouse for Craiglands Farm. In recent years the dwelling has been divided into two semi-detached properties with Craiglands Cottage offering generously sized accommodation for four guests. Set against the side of the moor, the property boasts glorious views from every main room, with the sitting room and both bedrooms featuring large window seats from which to take in the far-reaching views across the Aire Valley.

Entering the cottage through the large, double doors, which can be opened up fully on fair weather days, you are greeted at once by the warm and homely atmosphere that fills the house. The open-plan layout of the ground floor includes a well-equipped kitchen, dining area with solid wood dining table and chairs, and a comfortable sitting room with leather sofas and large stone fireplace with multi-fuel stove. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one of which features a convenient zip and link bed that can be configured as twin singles or a super-king size bed on request, along with a small study with desk and chair. The study enjoys views up to the Pinnacle, a historic stone monument set on the crest of the moor above the cottage.

To the front of the cottage is a parking area and a large garden with mature flower borders, accessed down several stone steps which need to be managed with care. Beyond are open fields, usually grazed by sheep. Craiglands Farm is a small holding with the owners living in a neighbouring cottage. Free range hens wander at will and at times there will be lambs being bottle fed, as well as pigs living in the nearby woodland!

Please note the garden and terrace is shared with the adjoining cottage to Craiglands Cottage.

The steps from the terrace to the garden are uneven and can be slippery when wet. Please take care when using the steps.
