Known as ’The Gateway to the Dales’ it’s home to a historic castle, traditional Yorkshire pubs and restaurants, and you can even take a boat trip down the Leeds and Liverpool canal. For anyone wanting to tour further afield Malham Cove, Pendle Hill, Forest of Bowland, Bronte Country, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ilkley Moor, Ripon and even the southern Lake District National Park can be reached in an hour’s drive.
