A very nice clean and comfortable cottage Just a couple of negative comments.We would have liked a dishwasher The two small ovens - a larger one oven would have been better (this is our own personal opinion as we like cooking and found it difficult with the two smaller ones)The twin bedroom needs either blackout curtains or a blind. Even though it was February with the street light being directly outside the room it was light and one of our party likes a dark room.Overall an enjoyable weekend in a lovely villageCan recommend the two pubs in the village. the food in the Black Horse is excellent.

The location of Barn House is excellent as Giggleswick has all the charm of a small village yet its proximity to Settle means you have the services and facilities a short walk away. Booths - think Waitrose for those coming from the south) is a Very good supermarket and a 10 minute walk ( much less than 20 mins stated in description). It’s also very convenient for exploring further afield and we visited a number of other towns including Grassington of All Creatures Great and Small fame.The house itself does not have a lot of outdoor space but we did manage to get 3 cars parked in the drive. Having said that there are some pleasant walks on your doorstep and a very big park a few minutes walk away.We tried the local pub which was OK but Settle has a wider selection of restaurants and coffee bars and again is a fairly easy walk if you don’t want to get in the car.We had extremely cold weather during our stay but the house was always comfortable and cosy. Plenty of seating in the lounge with comfy sofas and We liked the fact there were comfy chairs and a good size TV in the kitchen/diner.We found the beds were quite soft and the bunks room is very tight.The owners had gone that extra mile to decorate for Christmas in both the dining space and lounge which was greatly appreciated.All in all a positive and pleasant experience with just a couple of things that could improve the experience.Black out blinds/curtains would be nice as there is a very bright light across the road that illuminate the bedrooms all night.Bath sheets as opposed to bath towelsA nespresso machine would be niceA hand blenderSharp kitchen knivesReplace non stick fry pans as now stick pansMicrowave turntable not workingDespite these points I would definitely recommend and book another stay in the future

Lovely house - spacious and well equipped. Second visit so we do really enjoy the property and place. Cosy lounge and big kitchen great for get togethers.
