The location is excellent for walking. The drive off the road to the house is not too bad but best to park at the bottom and check before taking a car with low ground clearance up the track. This is mentioned in the pre-arrival notes so shouldn't be a problem.

Had everything needed for our walking holiday in the Dales.

In a lovely comfortable place. On reading some previous reviews we took our own garden chairs, excellent decision. And yes the table was wobbly, we kept a foot on it and had no problem with meals, for playing games we put a puzzle holder we brought on top of the table. So we had no issues at all. The history is interesting, so is the village, and you are right on the Pennine way, There are some interesting books and the garden is delightful and kept quite natural. Highly recommended.
