A delightful, old stone-built cottage situated close to the pretty Ribblesdale village of Langcliffe. Formerly the home of a mill worker, Locks Cottage stands at the end of a small row of traditional Dales cottages and is surrounded by peaceful Dales countryside. For a cottage itâs very spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was everything we required. The location, next to the river, with a garden that backs on to the river was delightful. Noticing a previous review, I would like to add that there is a banister on one side of the stairs, which arenât steep, typical cottage stairs. The location, near Settle, offers everything you need for shopping, and the landscape is wonderful to visit and explore. Ice cream was a feature, we sampled one every day, and the local ice cream is good. The Folly is a fascinating museum, well worth a visit, and has very informative guides who welcome you. We would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you.
