Foxholes Lodge is a well-regarded cottage in Settle, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring the Dales. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like welcome packs and find it an excellent base for walking and enjoying local amenities. Despite some minor issues with Wi-Fi and kitchen space, the cottage's charm and the hosts' hospitality shine through, with many visitors returning for repeat stays.
The cottage consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with numerous guests noting the spotless condition upon arrival. The attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is highly valued for its proximity to local shops, pubs, and scenic walks, with easy access to both Settle and Giggleswick. The convenience of nearby train stations and the beauty of the surrounding area are frequently mentioned.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with several comments on the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The comfort of the beds and the provision of essentials contribute to a restful stay, although a few guests mention low ceilings and quirky layouts.
The cottage is well-equipped for a holiday stay, with most guests satisfied with the amenities provided. However, some guests suggest improvements such as stronger Wi-Fi, more kitchenware, and a warning about low ceilings. The presence of parking and the overall maintenance are seen as positives.
While guests frequently mention and appreciate welcome packs and gifts, such as tea, milk, and biscuits, there is not enough information to guarantee that these are a standard offering for all stays. Therefore, while the hosts are noted for their thoughtfulness, the score must be set to null.
