Venture to the village of Long Preston to access more of your amenities, with its popular Boars Head pub and well-equipped village shop. The market town of Settle, with its a charming selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, can also be found within a short drive, plus it provides the chance to venture a little further into beautiful Yorkshire and Cumbrian scenery on the Settle-Carlisle Railway.

Spend the day in Malham and visit the historical place museum of Town Head Barn, before embarking on one of the village's many walking trails to Malham Cove, the waterfall of Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar. The bustling town of Skipton makes for a fabulous outing for all the family, with a glorious castle waiting to be toured through, the exhilarating Raven Tree Top adventure park and the town's popular golf club. Get back to nature and venture further into the Yorkshire Dales National Park to discover enchanting coves, ample cycling and walking trails, as well as picturesque villages dotted throughout.

The picture-postcard village of Long Preston rests on the south western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Ribblesdale.
