Coach House Cottage in Skipton offers a cosy and comfortable stay with a rustic charm and is well-situated for exploring the local area and enjoying nearby walks. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, the cottage's character, and the convenience of a pub across the road. Some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance but overall had enjoyable stays.
Several reviews mention cleanliness issues such as stained bedding, unpleasant odours, and a lack of thorough cleaning. However, not all reviews are negative, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for its peace, quiet, and proximity to local walks and attractions. The absence of a village shop is noted, but the scenic setting compensates for this minor inconvenience.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, though some mention a 'roll-prone' mattress and issues with bunk beds. The overall sentiment is that the cottage provides a comfortable stay.
Mixed feedback on facilities, with some guests satisfied with the provided amenities, while others report a lack of kitchen equipment, broken items, and inadequate instructions for appliance use.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host, and thus the score is set to null.

A lovely cottage with everything we needed. Comfortable beds, nice bedding, and the cottage is so cosy. It’s worth noting that the dining table and chairs are folding so need to be set up if you’re dining in. Great to be able to log into our own Netflix account on the TV. Unfortunately the pub in Buckden was closed for our whole 4 night stay, however there is a pub a couple of miles away in Starbotton. A great stay overall!

Lovely quiet setting, great kettle! But sadly I didn't feel that this cottage was value for money. The mattress on the top bunk was comfortable but very stained. The protective sheet had dried blood, the sheets and duvet cover had marks and overall were past their best. I can't speak for the other beds. I had to wash the towels as they didn't smell very nice ..as though they'd been left wet for too long before being washed. The towels were stained, too small and need replacing. No washing machine instructions. There was only one cooking dish which for four people wasn't enough. No bread knife, no mixing bowl. The ice box was broken although there was a note to this effect. (Bit late had I brought frozen items). The torch's batteries were dead and the rechargeable one had no visible lead.By the third day the cottage had a damp smell emanating which wasn't helping. This may be from the bathroom which has no window to open, only a fan which didn't cope with steam very well I found no instructions for bin disposal and replacement bin bags. (The bins are in a group format away from the cottage).Perhaps I've been spoilt elsewhere but as the village shop no longer exists and you're a long way from any other shop, a welcome pint of milk if nothing else would have been kind. It is a shame, for the property could have been excellent if refreshments to bedding and more care in the kitchen and bathroom had been taken as it has a lovely character and is in an idyllic village. The owner needs to replace soft furnishings and note it in the review of their cottage.
