Fell View is a lovely, comfortable and ideally located cottage in the beautiful village of Kettlewell. It had everything we needed for a relaxing week away, with wonderful walks straight from the cottage and only short drives to places such as Grassington and Littondale. It was the perfect base for us and our whippet, Wilf, to relax after walks every day along and over the Dales, and all the facilities worked very well. The three local pubs are excellent for food and ale, and we would also highly recommend The George in Hubberholme and The Fountain Inn in Litton, all very friendly and extremely dog-friendly too.If visiting at this time of year, it’s worth being mindful of cattle and sheep with their young. The cattle are best avoided, especially if walking with a dog, and it’s sensible to keep dogs on leads to protect the livestock and wildlife. The Dales are absolutely beautiful. We didn’t have the best weather overall, but we still managed 2 to 4 hour walks every day and were only rained on once! When the sun did appear, which it often did, the scenery was simply heavenly.Thank you for accommodating us. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return in the future.
