The Chapel in Skipton is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its excellent location, comfortable bed, and beautiful views. Guests appreciate its cleanliness, quiet surroundings, and well-equipped nature, making it an ideal base for exploring the Dales. The enclosed garden is a bonus for those with pets. While some minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness were noted, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found The Chapel clean and well-presented, though a few mentioned dog hairs and unclean cookware. The positive remarks suggest good general cleanliness, but there is room for improvement in attention to detail.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, scenic views, and proximity to local attractions and walking routes. The ability to explore without a car is a significant plus for many guests.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable bed and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. However, some felt the space was smaller than expected, indicating that while comfort is high, space may be limited.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. Criticisms include issues with the TV and shower handle, suggesting that while facilities are good, maintenance could be more attentive.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately determined.

Pub within walking distance but unfortunately, probably because of the time of year , was not open even though website indicated it was , food available at nearby trout farm but closed at 4pm.The bath on the website is advertised as being available but because of the size of the tank is not although the overhead shower is very good. These are very small negatives everything else was excellent , clean quiet beautiful views well equipped with everything needed for our stay.We look forward to returning at a better time of year when we can make use of the garden and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.

Lovely quirky little cottage in an excellent location. Very peaceful. It served us well as a base to explore the Dales. Very comfy bed! Only a couple of minor issues..Smart TV was great on the channels we could watch but (assume) previous occupant had set a passcode on the itv app so couldn't access that. Also, a little more attention to detail with the cleaning would be good. While ok, there was dog hairs all around the edges of the rooms and when we went to use a couple of pans they needed to be washed before use as had not been put away clean. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and it was value for money.
