Fully renovated from floor-to-ceiling in 2021, The Manse has been transformed into a luxurious home for short and long breaks. Invited through the main entrance, guests step into a stylish kitchen filled with modern appliances, central island with Belfast sink, and seating area that makes an ideal spot to perch whilst the nominated chef takes the helm at the electric range cooker. Cooking up a memorable meal will be a joy as you gather together in the dining room, or the glorious orangery featuring panoramic views across the walled kitchen garden towards the beautiful countryside. After dinner, relax in the laid back sitting room complete with original feature fireplace and private library. There is a utility/boot room, should you need it and extra storage for those muddy boots after a day spent walking the Dales, plus a study which offers a convenient, peaceful work space

Upstairs, first floor presents four individually designed bedrooms, each with a super-king size bed (that can be converted into twin beds on request) and en-suite facilities. With rural views stretching across the rewilded fields and surrounding woodland, this stylish accommodation is an idyllic retreat for anyone wanting to step back from a busy life, even if only for a weekend.

The large outside area features a generous patio area complimented by established flower and herb beds. This spot is simply ideal for taking the dining experience outdoors through the orangery patio doors. As the light fades, spend the evening around the firepit reminiscing and catching up on quality time with those closest to you.

Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Broughton Sanctuary has been home to many production companies over the years, with Broughton Hall and the magnificent grounds featuring as the backdrop to many shoots, including Emily, Gentleman Jack, Ridley Road and of course All Creatures Great and Small, as the home of Mrs Pumphrey and her infamous dog Tricki Woo. Rich with family history, Broughton Sanctuary's present owner, Roger Tempest is the 32nd generation. His sister, the cartoonist Annie Tempest, has used this childhood home as her inspiration for Country Life’s tongue-in-cheek humour, Tottering Hall, headed up by Dick and Daffy and their loyal black Labrador, Slobber.

The Sanctuary provides wonderful walks, cycling trails, wild swimming, sweat lodge, sauna and access to the award winning Avalon Wellbeing Centre, home to an indoor swimming pool, steam rooms, PT Studio and sauna, all of which are available on request (please contact us for more information).

The nearest EV Charger is located in the car park next to the Utopia restaurant. This is not within the grounds of The Manse.
