About this property

Perched on the Gallaber Park on the outskirts of Long Preston in North Yorkshire, is this fantastic two-bedroom wooden-clad lodge, The Warren. Boasting a superb location just outside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a stylish open-plan layout with high quality furnishings and on-site facilities including a bar and gym, The Warren makes for an excellent country retreat for a family of four or two couples. Park up in one of two convenient off-road parking spaces, before unloading your bags and stepping into your new holiday home. Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can look forward to playing chef in the amply-equipped kitchen, with gas oven, hob and grill, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, ensuring an easy clean up! Gather around the dining table for four and tuck-in to a mouth-watering meal as you discuss plans for the days ahead. After a satisfying meal, switch on the electric fire and settle down to enjoy a movie marathon on the Smart TV as you are enveloped with warmth. Wash away the day with a refreshing shower, before stepping into the warm embrace of your towel, courtesy of the heated towel rail. Rest tired eyes in one of two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite bathroom and a twin. Awake from a restful slumber and indulge in a blissful soak in the bath, before taking your morning coffee out on the private decking. If you can tear yourself away from the fabulous holiday park, head into the local village where you will find an excellent pub, The Black Horse, serving a good selection of local ales and traditional pub dishes, ideal for when you fancy a night off from the kitchen! Venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park where a plethora of scenic walks and cycling trails await, start with a hike over to see the picturesque 40ft Scaleber Force Waterfall settled in a deep wooded gorge. Nearby, is Malham Cove, where you will find a naturally formed limestone amphitheatre, impressive valley views and a waterfall, as well as Gordale Scar, a deep limestone ravine and Janet’s Foss, a tranquil waterfall which cascades into a natural pool, certainly not one to be missed! Next stop is Settle, where you can delve into history at The Museum of North Craven Life, test out your swing at the excellent Settle and Giggleswick Golf Club or peruse local artwork at Gallery on the Green. Be sure to visit the bustling town of Skipton, easily accessible from the local train station in Hellifield, home to a remarkable 12th-century, Grade I listed castle, the Craven Museum & Gallery, as well as excellent shops, pubs restaurants and river cruises along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. For memories that will last a lifetime, choose The Warren.

I don't know if I misread guidance to the property but it seemed to be a long walk to get the keys and then return to car, I thought that keys would be in reception. I would definitely recommend the Warren to anyone.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything required for you to cook and serve for the family. And plenty of entertainment in the lodge for those rainy days. The park was quiet at the end of March 24. There is a general store that you can walk to which is situated in Hellifield off the park. With Booths supermarket in the village of Settle. The lodge is a car ride to Malham, Ingleton and other places to visit.

Good location and we even got a earlier check in which was much appreciated.
