Horse riding and trekking are available from the adjacent riding school and Kilnsey Trout Farm complete with fishing, cafe and farm shop is ½ mile away. For cycling enthusiasts the route of Tour De Yorkshire runs past the end of the lane and for walkers, the wonderful Dales Way runs on the hillside above. A well stocked convenience store with local butcher is 2 miles away and the nearest pub is ½ mile.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with the most amazing surroundings and views. Felt very recharged and relaxed after our week. Had some lovely walks! The owner, Abigail Shaw,.who lives next door in private grounds, is lovely and helpful when needed but never intrusive.

Topham's Laithe was perfect for our long winter relaxing weekend. It's in a quiet location with excellent walks and pubs close by. And when a day of inclement weather arrives, your home from home is cosy and warm. Everything we wanted was to hand, from the well appointed and good sized kitchen (thanks Abigail for the cake and milk on arrival!), to the restful and homely lounge with Sky TV, and the extremely comfortable bed and quality bedding. Yes, we loved it. And yes, we will return.

Topham's Laithe makes a very pleasant, comfortable and well-equipped base for a holiday in Wharfedale and around, with good views along across the dale from the dining table, kitchen and bedroom. Conistone is a charming, unspoiled and quiet little village, conveniently close to - but well-insulated from - the main road along the dale on the far side of the river. Host Abigail Shaw (who lives next door) is absolutely exemplary: welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. We'll certainly go back when we next want a holiday in the area.
