Formerly a joiner’s shop and blacksmiths, Valley View is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. Upon entry into the living room, you will notice the attractive beams and the comfortable seating with plenty of space for you to relax in front of the fire in the evening. There is a kitchen/dining area where you can rustle up a lovely meal when you are not taking advantage of the excellent dining at the local pubs. Valley View boasts two kingsize bedrooms with great views, one of which can be split into two singles to offer ultimate flexibility for friends and family. The owner thoughtfully provides complimentrary toiletries. There is also a nice sitting out area in the front courtyard, which you can enjoy when the sun is shining. Burnsall is very well situated inbetween ever popular Grassington and Bolton Abbey. Skipton is only a short drive away with its historic castle and quaint cobbled streets. Being in the heart of the Dales, there are fantastic walking and cycling opportunities on the doorstep, so whether you are planning on staying in Burnsall or using this as a base from which to explore, you will be delighted with your choice to stay at Valley View. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

The location was ideal for visiting the dales with my elderly parents. It was disappointing that the owners (who lived next door) did not knock and say hello and offer assistance if required. The main bedroom the mattresses were far too hard, like sleeping of concrete floor and my partner and I came home with bad backs. It seemed very unusual that the owners told us (via note) that all bedlinen had to be stripped for the beds and put in black sacks. We are frequent users of holiday lets and this is the first place we have been asked to do the owners responsibility for them. Considering the apartment caters (seating and bed wise) for 4 people, the cooking equipment was lacking, more designed for 2 people cooking for themselves.Despite this we had a lovely holiday and the cottage was a suitable base for exploring. We would recommend to those just wanting a base.
