Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Dog welcome pack.. Patio with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking!. This traditional Dales cottage dates back to 1750 with low beamed ceilings and original sneck doors. New for 2022 are two comfortable living room sofas with new cushions. Last year the cottage benefitted from being repainted and decorated with new curtains, blinds and chrome lights.
Quietly located a 5-minute walk from Grassington’s main square with shops, tea rooms and inns serving food. Grassington hosts events round the year with the Summer Festival, 40’s weekend and the long standing Dickensian Festival. It has also provided the backdrop to the new series of ’All Creatures Great and Small’.
The nearby villages of Kettlewell, Buckden and Linton also offer charming places to eat. Skipton, with its castle, bustling market and canal boats, is only 10 miles away. Historic Bolton Abbey on the River Wharfe is close by, as well as the scenic Settle-Carlisle railway over the Ribblehead viaduct. Slightly further afield is the pretty spa town of Harrogate and the historic city of York. The Dalesway walk goes past the property, and there is ample cycle storage for the more energetic that want to experience the roads used in the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour de France.

Second visit to this lovely cottage and not disappointed, lovely Hazel was there when we arrived and she is a great host. She told us about the sea shanty show on the Saturday night at the town hall once again fab, lovely night out. It’s warm and cosy with anything and everything you would need, plus the gated parking is fabulous, we didn’t use our car from the time we got there until we left as beautiful walks from the door and local buses are great.The bedroom is lovely, gorgeous comfy bed and pillows plus the bed linen is great, the bathroom could do with an update but everything works well and lots of hot water 💦 The lounge is super comfy with good sofas, Netflix tv and the kitchen is very well equipped, absolutely super.Thank you for a lovely stay **

The best cottage we have stayed in Grassington by far. Clean, roomy and very convenient for the village, parking (room for at least 2 cars), and the wider touring of the dales.
