A lovely, stone-built mid-terrace cottage in a central location in the picturesque village of Starbotton, one of the real gems of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Dating from the 1820's this delightful cottage has been tastefully renovated, retaining much original character, this delightful cottage offers homely and welcoming accommodation. The main sitting room boasts a feature stone fireplace and a delightful beamed ceiling. Outside, there is a spacious patio courtyard, perfect for dining alfresco. The ideal central location in this lovely village, just one minute's walk to one of the best pubs in the Dales, makes this Yorkshire cottage an ideal retreat. There are numerous footpaths, circular walks and the River Wharfe on the doorstep. Close to Malham Tarn, Buckden, Kettlewell, Grassington and Skipton, this is a superb location for exploring the Dales!
Set within the Upper Wharfedale valley between Kettlewell and Buckden, this idyllic National Park village is a greatplace to start your exploration of this magnificent area. Much of Upper Wharfdale is owned by the National Trust and has a rich natural heritage with dry stone walls, beautiful old barns, abundant meadows and woodlands. The area is regarded as one of the foremost walking areas in the Dales, with the challenging Dales Way path passing close by. Buckden Pike is accessed easily with gentle pathways along the riverside. The village of Starbotton is made up of a group of stone-built dwellings, and has at its heart the local pub where fine ales and good food are served. The hit film Calendar Girls was filmed in this area and at other nearby locations. With such a diversity of scenery including waterfalls, caves, interesting and historic market towns, this is a perfect base from which to enjoy the beautiful Dales.
