Here you’ll experience a sense of peace and tranquillity being deep in the countryside and yet under two miles from the picturesque town of Pateley Bridge having a variety of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, and other amenities. Centred on a network of local footpaths and close to sections of the Nidderdale way and Pennine way the location is ideal for those who love walking. Whether you’re looking for gentle walks or more of a challenge you’ll find trails along rivers Nidd and Wharfe, around the many nearby reservoirs, or high on the hills and moors above Nidderdale and Wharfedale. For cyclists many great routes are on the doorstep including the Tour de France and Yorkshire challenges of Greenhow Hill and Blubberhouses Hill. Local attractions include Stump Cross Caverns, The Coldstones Cut – a walkthrough sculpture leading to a spectacular far-reaching view, and Toft Gate Lime Kiln.

If you want a cosy and stunning little place for two (and two dogs) in a beautiful part of the world then The Burrows is for you!Nina has thought of everything - including a slow cooker so tea can be cooking while you explore Nidderdale.The Burrows is perfectly situated - it’s tucked out of the way but so many places are easily reached from there.It’s also the cleanest dog friendly place we have stayed at. This is our second stay there but won’t be our last
