No smoking.. Dale View is the slightly smaller neighbour to Watersedge (UK30278) in Gayle near the bustling market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. Affording a splendid, elevated position next to the lower waterfalls flowing down into Gayle Beck.
From the living room or outside terrace, you have an uninterrupted view of the water as it flows past. Offering a very good level of comfort, this mid-terraced property has been tastefully furnished and well-equipped to cater for up to four people. The living/dining area has a wood burner and Smart TV, perfect to return to after a day of exploring. The compact kitchen has all the appliances you need and well-equipped to cater for a hearty breakfast or supper. Upstairs are two bedrooms furnished to a good standard with oak furniture, with kingsize bed and one single. The bathroom with bath and shower over and separate toilet completes the accommodation. Externally is a patio area with furniture to enjoy a beautiful view of the falls.
Being close to the Pennine Way there is excellent walking direct from the door suitable for all abilities. A 10-minute walk away is the bustling market town of Hawes, here you will find a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants offering a wide variety of choices to suit every taste. En-route is the famous Wensleydale Creamery just a short walk from Dale View and the visitors centre and coffee shop a must visit! Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner and Bolton Castle are on the list of things to do. Lake Semerwater is nearby and offers activities such as coarse and wild brown trout fishing, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing or simply a lovely place to take a picnic on a summers day and sit and enjoy the views and wildlife. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

My wife and I have been coming to the dales for 40 years admittedly mostly we our caravan but also had several cottage’s. But without shadow of a doubt this cottage is amazing it the best equipped one we have ever stayed in and spotless to and the location is fantastic with the view of the beck and the dales.

We have stayed here many times since 1991. It's warm and comfortable. It's so handy to walk into Hawes and out into the countryside. The little bus to Garsdale and down the dale is just over the road. The view from the bedrooms and sitting room is hard to beat.
