This south-facing, Grade II listed, 17th-century farmhouse has been lovingly refurbished and care has been taken to retain the original features, with mullion windows, beamed ceilings, feature stonework and pitch pine and quarry tile flooring. The three bedrooms also feature memory form mattresses. Enclosed in its own grounds, set back from the road by a private drive, this cosy romantic property is superbly located, handy for Hawes, the Dales and ideal for a day trip to the Lake District National Park.

It's our 3rd time that we have stayed at Shepherds Cottage. Our car never left the drive . Lots of walks around the area to do . Also the cheese factory to visit.

We enjoyed our second visit to this wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. The cottage has everything you need and is in a rural location yet within easy reach of shops and pubs etc. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay, we loved the peace and tranquility. The cottage had plenty of space. We liked that they was adequate seating in the living room were we could relax on an evening. There’s plenty to do in the area and walks on the doorstop!! Thanks for a lovely stay, special thanks to Anne who made sure we had everything that we needed!
