I’m the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for cleanliness is because it’s a lived in cottage with lived in use, local amenities are none existent but we knew that when we booked. We had a fantastic Xmas break and would do it all again

Skelgill is my idea of heaven.. It's set down a long single track lane among just a few other dwellings . One being a working farm , so the only noises you hear are occasional tractors , cows mooing and sheep bleating . The surrounding views are breathtaking and locals very friendly. Skelgill is very spacious and comfortable . The owners have thought of everything you might need for your stay and have equipped it superbly . The nearby town of Hawes was great for shopping at the local Spa and has great pub food and chip shop. We stayed for a week but wished we had booked for a fortnight ! . Can't wait to book for next Spring now.
