Situated on the south facing side of the market town of Leyburn in North Yorkshire, the cottage was once part of the local veterinary surgery and has now been converted into a beautiful holiday cottage for guests to enjoy. Step into the porch that immediately leads you to the spacious open-plan living space, with Smart television ideally situated for cosy nights in after a busy day wandering around one of the many Dales market towns, such as Masham, Bedale or Northallerton. From here, french doors lead out into the garden. An oak staircase takes you up into the stylish master bedroom which benefits from far-reaching views across Wensleydale towards Penhill. Complete with relaxing seating area, 6' super-king size bed (that can be converted to twin beds on request), Smart wall-mounted television and en-suite bathroom, this wonderful space will make you never want to leave.
To the side of the cottage through the french doors, guests can enjoy panoramic views from the picnic table in the garden, or wander up into Leyburn for a bite to eat at one of the many local pubs serving homemade Yorkshire grub.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Dog Kennels. It is so comfortable, immaculately presented and so peaceful. The welcome basket is a lovely touch as are all the lovely upmarket toiletries. Sitting on the patio overlooking that lovely meadow and views is just heaven. Credit to you all for keeping such a high standard. . One of our favourite retreats from a busy life and we will be coming back.

Beautiful location. A lovely little home away from home! Would definitely stay again, and would highly recommend. Nice and quiet, with lots to do nearby. I’d recommend a trip to Richmond. It’s a very pretty little town.
