The bedrooms are spacious, and there is a large games room that is positioned in the roof of the chapel. Situated in the living room, a feature wood burner makes this property perfect for the colder, winter months. After a busy day exploring this delightful location, head back to the property, and snuggle into the comfortable sofas, where you can watch the flames dance around the fire.

This area provides a paradise for bird watchers, with birds of prey, owls, oyster catchers, lapwing and grouse. If you love to be outdoors, then this property is the perfect base for you. We have had another lovely stay in Thoralby. Returning to a property doesn’t always give the same great experience but the Old Chapel did not disappoint in any way and in fact continued to delight as we noticed new details and new joys like the early summer flowers with this being earlier in the summer than the last year.I am puzzled at some of the recent reviews. I have read complaints that there aren’t enough toilet rolls or that there isn’t a welcome pack. There were tea bags and coffee and sugar sachets plus UHT milk portions. There was more than one toilet roll in each bathroom and although I brought some it wasn’t needed. And as for a ‘welcome pack’, the entire cottage is a welcome pack, waiting to embrace you as you relax in its walls. I don’t feel I need for a welcome pack when there is dish soap; a washing up brush; hand soap; dishwasher tablets; clingfilm; almost every kitchen utensil you could wish for, an air fryer… you name it! There are a couple of things that need attention or fixing or replacing but there is a book so that you can note these for the owner to be aware. They really care and this cottage really is fantastic.We look forward to returning in August!

We wanted for nothing at the old chapel. The bedrooms were large and comfortable the kitchen had every utensil and appliance you could ever need. There are a good number of walks from the door. We had a most enjoyable stay.
