Lime Kiln Farmhouse is consistently praised for its idyllic setting, comfort, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate the beautiful location, the proximity to walks and Castle Howard, and the farmhouse's blend of character and modern conveniences. While there are some concerns about maintenance and cleanliness, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests recommending the property and expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the property immaculate and well-presented. However, a few mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as stains and a need for a thorough cleaning of certain areas. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than the norm.
The location is frequently described as beautiful and wonderful, with easy access to walks and local attractions. One review mentioned a lack of phone signal and internet, but this did not detract significantly from the overall high praise for the location.
Guests generally found the farmhouse to be cosy, comfortable, and well-appointed. There were some comments about uncomfortable furniture, but these were few compared to the overall positive feedback on the comfort of the property.
The farmhouse is considered well-equipped by most, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as electrical problems, a boiler breakdown, and a non-working dishwasher. These concerns impact the score for facilities and maintenance.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category. However, guests did appreciate the care taken to make the house comfortable and welcoming.
