With heather-clad moorland on the doorstep and the coast at picturesque Whitby within 9.5 miles, this traditional property offers a splendid base for exploring the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Sleeping six guests, it is ideal for a family or friends sharing, and perfect for lovers of the outdoors. The spacious property is quietly located on the edge of Goathland, a lovely little village renowned as the location for the TV series Heartbeat. The village’s delightful historic railway station also doubles as Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films. Goathland has shops, a post office and three pubs, with a wealth of walking and cycle trails across the moors and along the lovely River Esk estuary. See the cascading Mallyan Spout, one of several dramatic waterfalls nearby, including Thomason Foss and Falling Foss. Or head south to explore the pretty market town of Pickering (14.5 miles).

A gate to the property leads to the front door and a hallway, with space for coats and walking boots. The interior is comfortably furnished in a traditional style, with a cosy, home-from-home feel. Ceiling beams add character to the airy dining room, with a table seating Six and a wood burner for cooler nights. Leading off is the neat kitchen – with natural light and views to enjoy your breakfast from. Settle down on inviting seating in the lounge and toast your toes in front of the crackling open fire.
