The charming village of Grosmont is situated in the stunning North Yorkshire Moors landscape at the confluence of the River Esk and Murk Esk. The region is distinguished for its winding roads, high hills, and picturesque vistas across valleys filled with patchwork fields and vast stretches of moorland. Grosmont, which is known for being the site of the North York Moors Steam Railway, is located in the "Heartbeat Country." Since 1973, the Railway has been maintained and administered by enthusiasts, and it now serves more than 300,000 travellers annually. A general store, post office, bookstore, art gallery, cafes, and a tavern can be found in the village. It serves as a wonderful starting point for seeing the numerous charming farming communities along the Esk Valley, the larger North York Moors National Park, and the North Yorkshire Coastline with its charming harbour towns and villages.

And a special thanks to Mari the housekeeper. She found £100 that my mum had lost and called us to let us know so that we could go back and retrieve it.

    Everything immaculate.

Well equipped and lovely quiet area. Useful having a private parking area and the outside storage was a bonus for storing the bikes. The garden was good to, to just sit and have a brew. Everything we needed for a short break.
